Our approach

Four principles, applied without exception.

The way we work is deliberately unglamorous: define the question, control the conditions, write everything down, and claim only what the record supports.

01

Research

Curiosity drives discovery.

Every program begins with a question worth asking and a method precise enough to answer it. We favor narrow, well-defined studies over broad claims, and we keep investigating until the answer is one we can defend.

02

Quality

Quality begins with consistency and attention to detail.

Repeatability is the measure we care about most. Procedures are written before they are run, materials are handled under defined conditions, and deviations are recorded rather than smoothed over.

03

Documentation

Clear documentation and accessible supporting information.

Records are written as the work happens, not reconstructed afterwards. Supporting information is organized so a researcher can trace any statement back to the record that produced it.

04

Integrity

Responsible research practices and accurate information.

We describe research materials and documentation, and we stop there. We do not extrapolate beyond the conditions tested, and we say plainly what a record does and does not establish.
